Dear GoPlayers

Hope all of you have been healthy and taking good care of yourselves these last few weeks. The pandemic situation seems to be affecting people differently, and your health, including your mental well being, is your best asset at this time. We cannot wait for the prolonged shutdowns to end so we can start travel to meet friends and family across the globe.

Now, quick updates from our side:

1. Production delays - We have experienced a few small glitches in our manufacturing, and this has delayed deliveries to us by a few weeks. For instance, we came up with an exciting concept for the LIPSKIT packaging box with an interactive lid that rotates, and shows off different lip colors inside. We've built a mould for the cut-out of the lip shape. However, the alignment of the cut is a bit off, which we are working on correcting. We expect our products to start arriving with us by early November, and we will start the fulfilment process immediately then. We understand that this is not what we promised, and we apologise for the delays, and deeply regret any disruptions in plans it may cause for you.
    
2. Backerkit surveys - A big thank you to everyone who have finished their surveys. We appreciate your timely information, as it helps us get our logistical planning sorted. Your orders and information will be locked tonight and cards will be charged in a few days from now. If the need arises, you can still change your shipping address, before we send your LIPSKITs out. Just write to us at [email protected]
   For those who have not completed the surveys, we urge you to do so soon. In case you have any difficulty completing it, or have any questions, write to us at [email protected] and we will do our best to help figure it out.
    
3. We are still taking pre-orders on Indemand Indiegogo, so if your friends are interested, please point them to this link. You can also join our affiliate program and get 12% commission on every pledge you bring to us on Indiegogo! That's at least $9/pledge!  Sign up here and start earning.
    
4. Our packaging has started to arrive and we wanted to share some images of everything we have received so far. We have spent some time getting the designs right so we hope you like them too!
    

Fulfilment Surveys are coming soon!

Hello GoPlayers!

We are now 12 days since the end of our Kickstarter campaign and there has been much going on that we need to talk to you about. So here goes:

1. The shipping and fulfilment surveys are almost ready and we will start sending them out this week. The objective is to start collecting shipping addresses and orders for add ons now so we have ample time to get everything together and minimise last minute changes.
2. The personalisation quiz is up and running, you can start taking it here. We will be adding this link to your Backerkit surveys as well. All you need to do is determine your ‘Skin Season’ with the 2 minute quiz, and let us know by choosing your Season on the survey. If you have added a BFF kit to your pledge, they can choose their Skin Season as well, and you can make their choice on your survey.
3. We’ll start testing the GoPlay app with early customers soon. Our web-based app is almost ready for real world tests and we cannot think of a better group to try it first than the GoPlayer community on Kickstarter. Do drop us a quick note in response to this update if you would like to test it and we will send you the test link within the month of September.
4. Our efforts have been focused on making the delivery experience seamless for you, as much as on getting the products ready. We are registering ourselves for VAT, GST and IOSS in the UK, Canada and EU respectively. This means that we will pre-charge you the payable VAT on your pledges on Backerkit, so that you do not have to deal with post delivery correspondences about duties and taxes from shipping companies (It has happened to us and we hate that experience).
5. We certainly are going to save the best news for the last. Production is ongoing so we are on track to start deliveries in October. We are working around the clock to ensure that our delivery promises to you are met, and that we can start shipping within October. Our earnest hope is that most GoPlayers receive their LIPSKITs within October too.

So thats a long update from us this week. Do look out for your surveys coming to you soon and we would appreciate early responses.

Thank you for being a part of our incredible journey to bring the GoPlay LIPSKIT 2.0 to life. We started GoPlay Cosmetics with the belief that currently available makeup solutions are not working well enough for everyone. You, and 940 other backers, have convinced us that we are on the right path with GoPlay Cosmetics, and that personalisation in beauty products is the future! It was just 30 days ago when we nervously started our campaign, and we did not know how it would go. We have closed the Kickstarter campaign with S$ 117,675 pledged, which is 785% of our goal! First look of the LIPSKIT mould!

Hello GoPlayers! 

We are floored by all the love we have received from you. We are now seven times over our original goal, and have crossed SGD 108,000 in total pledges! This is all possible only because of your faith in us. 

To celebrate this event, we have decided to reduce our stretch goal for free purple bullets with each kit to SGD 150,000 from the original SGD 200,000. Our goal is to bring as much joy as we can from color, and this joyful change reflects our gratitude to all our backers! Once we reach this stretch goal, everyone who has already added a purple bullet to your pledges can choose any one other colour during the fulfilment survey at the end of the campaign. 

To add some more good news, production has been initiated by us now and we on track to meet the promised timelines of October 2021 deliveries. Check out our LIPSKIT mould in action.

Once the campaign ends we will be sending you a survey to identify your skin season, and your kit will then be custom assembled to your exact undertone. (Don't worry, you are not required to have any prior knowledge about your skintone or undertone).
